My fascination and curiosity for the stories that make each of us unique is what fuels my inspiration to document life through the lens of my camera. Studying journalism in college, I became absorbed in documenting people’s lives and their stories. Yet, as a lover of photography since childhood, my greatest joy was always behind the camera, capturing people as their pure, authentic selves. I held tight to my love of storytelling and it remains at the core of my photography.
Ever since my own wedding, I have been captivated with the raw and honest emotion that is present on this incredibly special day. Whether it is the nervous groom seeing his beautiful bride for the first time or the tender moments between father and daughter before walking down the aisle, it is the greatest privilege to be there to document these moments.
In addition to weddings and couples, I photograph babies, children and families. Similar to my approach with wedding photography, I have a relaxed, unobtrusive style and ultimately just let kids be kids. And of course I make sure we have fun and capture some incredible images along the way.
A few more tidbits about me: I love mint chocolate chip ice cream, soy lattes and red wine. I love country music and cry far too easily during sappy songs and movies. My family means the world to me. The sound of children’s laughter makes my heart swell. I love singing, but can’t carry a tune to save my life. I love traveling and am constantly making lists of where I want to go next. I am a better person because of my husband, Patrick. He is my best friend and biggest fan and always laughs at my silly jokes.
